On 23 March, the General Party Branch of ZUTE and the Party Committee of the School of Mathematical Sciences, ZJUT held a joint study meeting themed “Party Building Leads Synergy, Digital Intelligence Empowers Development”. The meeting was attended by Qiu Mingming, Secretary of the General Party Branch of ZUTE; Liu Yujing, Vice Dean (Executive Dean); Jiang Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematical Sciences; members of the Party Committee of the School of Mathematical Sciences; and department heads from both parties.
All participants thoroughly studied the important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping on establishing and practicing a correct understanding of what it means to perform well, and fully grasped their core principles and practical requirements. They unanimously agreed that we should take this as our guidance, always put staff and students at the centre, focus on solid work and tangible outcomes, and fulfil our original aspiration and mission through concrete actions.

At the meeting, Qiu Mingming gave a detailed introduction to the current development, talent cultivation features and development goals of ZUTE. Liu Yujing elaborated on the needs for cooperation in program development and student training. Jiang Jie introduced the faculty development, disciplinary layout and research team cultivation of the School of Mathematical Sciences, with a focus on sharing its practical achievements in talent cultivation and scientific research.
Subsequently, based on their respective educational characteristics and development needs, the two sides reached preliminary intentions for cooperation in curriculum development, student training, and joint research on disciplinary projects.
This joint study meeting serves as an important measure for both sides to strengthen Party building leadership and promote resource sharing. Taking this meeting as an opportunity, the two schools will closely align their cooperation needs and refine implementation measures to achieve complementary strengths and win-win results.
