On May 12, Professor Li Li, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Newcastle University, and her delegation visited ZUTE. Qiu Mingming, Secretary of the Party Committee of our institute, Liu Yujing, Vice Dean (Executive Dean) met with the visitors. 


Qiu Mingming extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced ZUTE's educational features and current development. She stated that ZUTE embraces to the philosophy of openness and cooperation in international development. She looked forward to closer exchanges and mutual learning with Newcastle University, expanding cooperation channels and jointly exploring dynamic models for cultivating international talents.


Liu Yujing shared ZUTE practical experience in discipline development, teaching administration and operation of international cooperation programs. He noted that ZUTE would draw on Newcastle University’s experience in international schooling to steadily improve its educational quality and global influence.


Li Li expressed gratitude for the warm reception and spoke highly of ZUTE's development achievements and nurturing environment. She introduced Newcastle University’s disciplinary strengths and global cooperation layout, and voiced strong willingness to deepen exchanges and collaboration with our institution.


Both sides held in-depth and practical discussions on joint student training, summer study abroad programs and cutting-edge scientific research innovation, reaching preliminary cooperation intentions. Both parties agreed to give full play to their respective disciplinary advantages and educational resources, build diversified international exchange platforms, and jointly elevate international schooling standards through complementary strengths and collaborative innovation to foster high-caliber global talents.

Its main campus is located in northeast England, renowned for medicine, engineering and sustainable energy research. Its Faculty of Engineering maintains close partnerships with Siemens and National Grid UK, focusing on the development of green technologies.
