From 10 to 11 April, a 5-member delegation led by Professor Richard Follett, Vice-President of the University of Exeter, UK, Professor Stuart Bearhop, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Li Li, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, visited our university. Gao Xiang, President of our university and Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Vice-Presidents Zheng Huajun and Zhang Xiaoqin met with the guests. Representatives from relevant departments and colleges, including the University Office, International Office, Development and Planning Office, Student Affairs Office, Academic Affairs Office, Graduate School, Finance Office, International College, College of Environment, College of Computer Science, College of Civil Engineering, and Zhijiang College, attended the meeting.

Gao Xiang extended a warm welcome to Vice-President Richard Follett and the delegation on their return visit, and introduced the university's educational capabilities, school characteristics and university influence. He stated that Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) and the University of Exeter already have a sound foundation for cooperation, and the delegation's visit this time will further enhance mutual understanding between the two universities and play an important role in promoting future cooperation in teacher-student exchanges, scientific research and other fields.

Richard Follett expressed his gratitude to ZJUT for the warm reception. He noted that the two universities share many common advantageous disciplines and broad prospects for cooperation, and he looks forward to the two sides continuing to promote joint training of high-level talents and joint scientific research on the existing basis, so as to build a model of educational cooperation between high-level universities in China and the UK.

Zheng Huajun and Zhang Xiaoqin held special discussions with the foreign delegation and identified the basic direction for in-depth cooperation between the two universities.

During the visit, the two universities signed a Letter of Intent for Joint Institute. The delegation also visited Moganshan Campus of our university. Vice-President Zhang Xiaoqin, leaders of Deqing local government and responsible persons of relevant functional departments of the university accompanied the visit.
