On May 13, Vice President Liz Jones and her delegation from the University of Exeter visited ZJUT. Wang Jianguo, Vice President of ZJUT, met with the guests. Principal officials from the Academic Affairs Office and ZUTE attended the reception.

Wang Jianguo extended a warm welcome to Liz Jones and her delegation. He introduced the university’s overall educational strength and international development strategy. He stated that the university will advance the development of ZUTE with high standards and high quality, fully strengthen core supports including faculty teams and teaching facilities, and strive to build a new benchmark for Sino-foreign cooperative education. He expressed the hope that relying on ZUTE as a bridge, the two universities can further deepen all-round cooperation and jointly contribute to the high-quality development of global higher education.

Liz Jones thanked ZJUT for the warm reception and spoke highly of the efforts and achievements made in the construction of ZUTE. She noted that the University of Exeter will fully integrate its high-quality educational resources with the educational characteristics of ZJUT, further deepen in-depth cooperation in joint training of high-level talents and collaborative scientific research innovation, jointly boost the development of the joint institute, and elevate the strategic cooperative partnership between the two universities to a new level.

During the visit, Liz Jones and her delegation also visited ZUTE, gaining detailed insights into the construction of smart teaching environments and international school-running support systems.
In addition, Liz Jones delivered a special lecture titled Enhancing Student Experience — Measurement, Insight and Action to deputy deans in charge of teaching and core teaching staff from various schools, offering new ideas and approaches for the implementation of university education strategies and the improvement of student experience.
