On 10 March, Zhu Hangjun, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee, and Wang Xiaolong, Executive Dean of the School of Physics, ZJUT, led a delegation of seven members to visit ZUTE. Qiu Mingming, Secretary of the Party Committee of our institute, Liu Yujing, Vice Dean (Executive Dean), and relevant members from ZUTE attended the meeting.
Qiu Mingming extended a warm welcome to the delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the background, strategic positioning and current development of ZUTE. She noted that, as a newly established institution, ZUTE is at a critical stage of development, and looked forward to strengthening exchanges, mutual learning and collaborative support with the School of Physics in areas including shared academic resources, curriculum development and research cooperation.
Zhu Hangjun thanked ZUTE for the warm reception and introduced the general situation and development plans of the School of Physics. He stated that this visit was the first external study tour for the School of Physics in the new semester, aimed at learning from ZUTE’s successful experience in Sino-foreign cooperative education to support new breakthroughs in the internationalisation of their programmes.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged in-depth views on key issues concerning Sino-foreign cooperative education, including admission mechanisms, curriculum arrangement, staffing, quality assurance and tuition fee standards. Both sides agreed that the School of Physics and ZUTE share highly compatible academic disciplines, with broad potential for cooperation in electronic information, optical engineering and related fields.
This visit has built a bridge for communication and cooperation between the two school, broadened the vision in international education, talent development and research collaboration, and laid a solid foundation for further joint development in the future.
Before the meeting, Liu Yujing accompanied the delegation on a tour of ZUTE, introducing its history, educational philosophy and the overall framework of its Sino-foreign cooperative education system.
